Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist
Substantive Post Full Time
Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust invites applications for the above post based predominantly at Leamington Spa CAMHS. This is a replacement post supported by an experienced multidisciplinary team comprising Psychiatry, Nursing, Psychology, Family Therapy and Psychotherapy.
The Trust provides comprehensive Mental Health, Learning Disability and Community Children’s Services to the population of Coventry and Warwickshire, and is also host to tertiary services in Forensic and Child Learning Disability Psychiatry services that take patients regionally and nationally.
The post will be based on a 10 PA job plan (7.5 PAs in Direct Clinical Care and 2.5 PAs in Supporting Professional Activities). The post holder will be working alongside another Consultant colleague in Leamington Spa, and a number of other Consultants in Coventry and Warwickshire area . There is an out-of-hours on-call commitment (currently about 1 in 8) with adequate junior medical support.
The Trust is a teaching Trust with close links to Warwick Medical School. The post holder will be expected to take part in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. The post holder will also be expected to participate in the necessary supporting professionals activities such as audits in order to work towards successful Revalidation. The Trust is committed to the Continuing Professional Development of all doctors and appropriate study leave and funding will be granted.
The post holder will benefit from the support of an experienced peer group of CAMHS and LD CAMHS psychiatrists within the Trust.
We are looking for individuals who are experienced and work well in a multidisciplinary team. They must also be excellent communicators. The applicant must possess the appropriate qualifications (MRCPsych; CCT or equivalent). Those who are within 6 months of obtaining their CCT by the date of the interview may also apply. The post holder will need to be Section 12(2) approved or eligible for approval.
The Trust is going through some exciting and innovative transformation work, and looking to move to a hub and spoke service across Coventry & Warwickshire Partnership Trust. The post worker will have opportunity to lead and participate in service improvement projects.
