Consultant posts in Vascular Surgery and Interventional Radiology in North Wales

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board is making a significant improvement in vascular and interventional radiology services, investing in a Hybrid Vascular Theatre and Interventional Radiology Suite at Glan Clwyd Hospital, replacing Interventional Radiology Imaging Equipment and facilities at Ysbyty Gwynedd Bangor, with plans for further improvements to equipment at Wrexham Maelor Hospital during 2018/19.

We are now looking to appoint five dynamic and enthusiastic consultants; three Consultant Interventional Radiologists or Consultant Radiologists with a special interest in Interventional Radiology, and two Consultant Vascular Surgeons to join our team of six vascular surgeons and four interventional radiologists.

The successful candidates will join our new North Wales Vascular Network and the creation of a North Wales Interventional Radiology service.

Within Interventional Radiology a wide range of vascular and non-vascular interventional services are provided across all three principal hospitals in North Wales including EVAR, critical limb work, uterine artery embolisation, percutaneous biliary stenting, percutaneous nephrolithotomy, ureteric stents, gastrostomy and renal dialysis access.

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board provides services to a population of approximately 700,000 residents; employs approximately 16,000 staff, has a budget of £1.4 billion, and is the largest health organisation in Wales. The Health Board has strong links with the University of Wales, Bangor, and Glyndwr University, Wrexham.
