We’re undertaking a redesign of our neurology services for Nottingham and the whole of the East Midlands and we would like to appoint 2 more colleagues.

Your base will be at the Queen’s Medical Centre and you will be expected to help with neurology services at 1 more hospital site. Your indicative timetable and job plan, along with other key information about the role and the day to day working arrangement, is attached.  We welcome applications from consultants with any sub specialty interests but have particular need for peripheral nerve, muscle/myasthenia and movement disorder.

Nottingham is the largest Neurology Centre in the East Midlands with a strong academic department and research links for all NHS consultants. Research is encouraged and fully supported by the University Hospital.

Newly trained or experienced consultants will be welcomed. You must be registered with the GMC and be on the Specialist Register or within 6 months of acquiring CCT at the time of interview.

The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.

All new employees starting work at NUH will be subject to a DBS check and liable for the cost (£47.50 for enhanced, £29.50 for standard, £30 for basic). I agree to reimburse Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust the cost of a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check if it is required (by deduction from first month’s pay).

Should I decide to withdraw from my job offer, I agree to reimburse Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust the cost of the DBS check undertaken by cheque or other agreed method.
