Consultant Neuropathologist

Applications are sought for a Consultant Neuropathologist. The post is a joint appointment between

Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust and St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

The appointee will possess full GMC registration, MBChB or equivalent and will hold FRCPath or equivalent.

This post is a full time NHS consultant post (10 PAs incl. 2 SPAs). The appointee will also be eligible for holding an honorary contract as an honorary senior lecturer at the GOS Institute of Child Health (ICH), part of University College London (UCL).

It is intended that the new appointee will support the neuropathology services across both Trusts and will be expected to contribute to the biopsy, surgical pathology and post-mortem responsibilities with the other Consultant Neuropathologists.

Any candidate who is unable for personal reasons to work full-time will be eligible to be considered for this post. If such a person is appointed, modification of the job content will be discussed on a personal basis with the Trust in consultation with consultant colleagues.
