Join Care in Mind – A Unique and Innovative Approach to Supporting Young People in Care.

Care in Mind is a specialist service providing NHS funded intensive mental health packages and residential placements for complex young people and young adults aged 16-25 years.

We offer intensive therapeutic provision to young people, often transitioning from inpatient or secure settings, to support them to be able to maintain community placements. We specialise in working with young people with a diagnosis of personality disorders and/or complex PTSD. We currently provide 10 residential homes that cover the North of England.

Due to an expansion in service delivery we are now looking to recruit;

Consultant Psychiatrist, Permanent, 37.5 hours per week (10 Programmed Activities)

Location: Two clinical bases, one in Lancashire and one in Yorkshire.

The role of the Consultant Psychiatrist in the team is to provide strong leadership and support in clinical care and risk management and to offer psychopharmacological management where needed. There are also opportunities for research and service development for our Consultants in what is a fast growing, innovative and exciting environment in which to work.

The postholder will hold a CCT (or equivalent) in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, General Adult Psychiatry or Forensic Psychiatry and will have experience of working with young people and/or young adults with complex mental health presentations, including personality disorders.
