From 1st October 2017, Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CMFT) and the University Hospital of South Manchester NHS Foundation Trust (UHSM) has joined together to create a new Foundation Trust which has been named Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. 

Our new organisation will provide a single hospital service across the city of Manchester and in 12- 18 months will also include the services currently provided by North Manchester General Hospital.  These changes will make a real difference to the health outcomes and quality of life for the people of Manchester.  That’s why this really is an extremely exciting and challenging period in the delivery of health and social care in Greater Manchester and one that provides a wealth career opportunities for great people right across our Group. 

Applications are invited for 12-month Senior Clinical Fellowship in Uveitis in Manchester Royal Eye Hospital to commence in February 2018

These posts provide in-depth training in uveitis diagnosis and management in the Manchester Uveitis Clinic, one of the busiest uveitis services in Europe. The post includes adult and paediatric uveitis. There will be opportunities for research including clinical trials.

Applicants will be expected to have completed, or to be near to completion of, their higher specialist training programme or equivalent in ophthalmology. Candidates must have FRCOphth/MRCOphth or equivalent.

Within this post there is opportunity for training in an additional sub-specialty, according to an individual’s interest. This includes, but is not exclusive to medical retina and neuro-ophthalmology. There is a busy medical retinal service including a bespoke Macular Treatment Centre equipped with excellent imaging modalities.

The posts are remunerated at £34,402 per annum plus supplement for acute services clinic.  We encourage prospective candidates to contact us.
