Hours: 8 Programmed Activities or 30 hours per

Base: PHE Fareham/hot desking with NHS England

We are now seeking to appoint a self-motivated and innovative individual to the role of Consultant in Public Health: Specialised commissioning: They will provide professional public health (population healthcare) leadership, advice and support to the specialised commissioning team within NHS England nationally and locally. It includes providing input to the annual commissioning
cycle and ensuring health improvement is a key outcome of the process. The post-holder will also provide public health advice and support to the national commissioning activities and functions. In addition, they will ensure engagement across clinical pathways by developing strong links with NHS
commissioners and Local Authorities.

The successful individual will join a dedicated and committed healthcare public health team and will bring professional credibility and robust leadership to engage, support and develop their public health offer to the NHS and Local Government.

The posts will be based within PHE office in Fareham with hot desking at NHS England offices across the South East with frequent travel within the geographical area of responsibility and to attend national meetings. There is an expectation that the post holder will work from a range of locations as relevant to the post.
