Consultant in Public Health – Screening & Immunisation Lead
(Post suitable for both Consultant Medical and
Non-Medical AfC Band 8D Appointment)
Salary: Consultant Medical salary (£76,761 - £103,490 per annum) or Agenda for Change band 8D (£67,247 - £83,258 per annum)
– dependent on experience and qualifications
Permanent, Full Time 10 PAs (Consultant) or 37.5 hours per week (AFC)
Location: Liverpool

NHS England’s (NHSE) role is to ensure that the NHS delivers better  outcomes for patients within its available resources. It plays a vital role in providing national leadership for improving outcomes and driving up the quality of care.

PHE North West is seeking to appoint an additional Screening and Immunisation Lead (SIL) on a permanent basis to support the NHS
England North (Cheshire and Merseyside) Screening and Immunisation Team.

The SIL works with the PHE North West Deputy Director of Healthcare Public Health and NHS England’s Health of Public Health Commissioning for Cheshire and Merseyside to lead a team that is accountable for supporting NHS England in the commissioning of national Screening and Immunisation
programmes across Cheshire and Merseyside. The post is integral to supporting NHS England North (Cheshire and Merseyside) commissioning team whilst remaining professionally accountable to the PHE National Executive through the North West PHE Centre. This post will be based within the NHS England offices at Regatta Place, Liverpool with frequent travel within the geographical area of responsibility and some travel elsewhere
as required.

Candidates must be included on the GMC Specialist Registrar with a license to practice or UK Public Health Register (UKPHR). The successful candidate will be appointed to the point of the Consultant salary scale appropriate to their years of seniority or if from a background other than medicine to Agenda for change Band 8d.
