£100,000 pro rata + pension contribution
Part-time - up to 24 hours per week (negotiable)

This is a stimulating and challenging opportunity for a GP interested in a local leadership role which includes:

  • Giving a strong local voice to general practice
  • Informing, supporting and representing GPs and practices
  • Working collaboratively to address issues including workload, funding and workforce

LMCs have a long history as local representative bodies for general practice and our role is constantly evolving.  In the words of one of our local practices, “the LMC is vital for the sustainability and longevity of primary care.” 

As a team, we are focused, dynamic and like to get things done.  You would be the perfect addition to our team if you:

  • Are a GP who wishes to retain a clinical role alongside the post of LMC Medical Director (although we will consider applicants who are not currently practising)
  • Are passionate about general practice and shaping its future
  • Have strong collaborative skills and the ability to negotiate effectively and influence others
  • Have, or are willing to develop, technical knowledge of primary care legislation, regulation and contracting
  • Think strategically
  • Are a brilliant communicator
  • Are self-motivated, organised and able to manage multiple projects at the same time

Our beautiful offices are in Willerby, East Yorkshire and are easily commutable from parts of North, South and West Yorkshire.
