We are looking for a Consultant Breast Surgeon who shares our ambition and vision to deliver the Best of Care by the Best People and have the drive to take us forward, by ensuring the Trust continues to be the first choice for patients and our staff.

Applications are invited for a whole-time substantive Consultant in Breast Surgery. This is a replacement post. The breast unit treats more than 350 new cancers per year. Medway Maritime Hospital hosts the Medway Breast Screening Unit NHS BSP.

The successful candidate is expected to provide comprehensive breast surgical services including oncoplastic and reconstructive procedures.

The successful appointee will be expected to participate in teaching, research and clinical audit. The appointee will be required to undertake management duties and work in a multidisciplinary team. The appointee would be expected to undertake service development and reviews as part of their responsibilities. There is no on call commitment linked to this post but the candidate is expected to take part in cover for breast post-operative emergencies.
