Professor in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine

An opportunity has arisen for a Professor in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine to join the College of Medicine and Public Health in this recently created role. 

The Professor in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine will provide leadership and delivery of high quality teaching, research and clinical services in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine.  The incumbent will be based at the Department of Respiratory and Sleep Medicine in the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN) and will work within both the University and Health Service environments. 

The incumbent’s university role will comprise growing the research output and impact of the College in a field aligned with our existing research strengths, in addition to developing, maintaining, coordinating and continuously improving the Internal Medicine curriculum, including Respiratory, within the Doctor of Medicine (MD) program.

  • Location: Department of Respiratory and Sleep Medicine, Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN)
  • Available on a continuing, full-time basis 
  • Salary (Academic Level E): $176,211 pa full-time plus Clinical Loading III ($30,504 pa full-time) 
  •  In addition, the eligible appointee will receive a separate         Clinical Academic contract and salary supplementation from   the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN) in   accordance with the prevailing Clinical Academics Enterprise   Agreement.  This will result in a combined salary (from both employers) equivalent to that of a senior staff specialist.
  • Plus 17% employer superannuation

Professor of Acute Medicine

An opportunity has arisen for a Professor of Acute Medicine to join the College of Medicine and Public Health in this recently created role. 

The Professor of Acute Medicine will be an outstanding academic and clinician with a distinguished record in research of international standing in acute medical care, and excellence in teaching and graduate supervision.  The incumbent will play a key academic leadership role within the College of Medicine and Public Health, developing the academic environment in acute medicine and inspiring others to research and teach.  The incumbent will deliver an international research profile, and be an active participant in teaching within the University and clinical work in acute general medicine in the Southern Adelaide Local Network (SALHN). The Professor of Acute Medicine will be based in the Division of Medicine in the SALHN and will be a senior staff specialist.
