If approved they would create – over the next five years – more centralised care at our Trust in two specialist centres. An emergency care centre with a dedicated paediatric unit and a specialist centre for planned care in a brand new hospital. During an exciting time of expansion for respiratory medicine within the Trust we are potentially looking to appoint 2 Consultants to help expand and consolidate the services currently provided by the Trust. The posts involve out-patient and in-patient duties and a regular commitment to the acute medical take. The post would provide opportunities to develop areas of special interest including difficult asthma, Sleep medicine, TB, and a Respiratory admission avoidance service.
The long term vision is for respiratory medicine to be based on one site with the development of a separate respiratory rota.
Applicants must be on the General Medical Council Specialist Register or within six months of being admitted to the Register for trainees if in a training programme within the UK. In accordance with the regulations, all other categories of doctors must be on the GMC Specialist Register to be considered for a consultant appointment by the Advisory Appointments Committee. Applicants must continue to hold a License to Practice.
The Foundation Trust aims to design and implement services, policies and measures that meet the diverse needs of our service, population and workforce, ensuring that none are placed at a disadvantage over others. This is a permanent post which is predominantly based at Calderdale Royal Hospital but with the expectation of providing cover to both sites as necessary. These are full time posts based on a 10 PA contract.
