Interim Strategic Director Public Health
Interim Strategic Director Public Health – Berkshire Unitary Authorities
Fixed term Post for 12 months.
Can you take a lead role in transforming the delivery model for public health across Berkshire, whilst fulfilling all the requirements of a DPH? Over just twelve months, help us to make real transformational change, and to improve and protect the health of a population of over 870,000.
The six unitary authorities across Berkshire – Bracknell Forest, Slough, Reading, Wokingham, Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, and West Berkshire – are seeking an experienced DPH for 12 months, working within in a fast moving health and care system.
The Public Health service in Berkshire is delivered through six local Consultant led teams, for whom you would be a professional lead. Each council has different but no less significant public health issues with a local vision for public health. The system is complex with seven CCGs, a number of providers, six HWBBs and two STPs which are emerging Accountable Care Systems. You’ll be able to work with all these organisations at a strategic level.
You will need to be a registered public health specialist with a track record in public health leadership and delivery. You will also have significant skills in leading change, and in people management.
