Consultant Orthopaedic Hip Surgeon with a Special Interest in Hip  Arthroplasty Surgery and Orthopaedic General Trauma

This is an excellent opportunity for a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon to specialise in Hip Surgery and Orthopaedic Trauma.

This post is needed to meet the increasing demand for hip surgery, and will complement the well-established Arthroplasty team. The postholder will also participate in the provision of the orthopaedic Trauma service at Royal
Shrewsbury Hospital.

Applications are welcomed from candidates with FRCS (or equivalent) who are on the General Medical Council’s Specialist Register in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery or who will be within six months of obtaining their CCT at the time of interview. In addition applicants should demonstrate within their application that they are fully trained in hip surgery through a structured Fellowship post CCT/specialist training, plus evidence of specialist trauma
training.
