We have regular educational meetings with the Childrens’ Acute Transport Service (CATS) to support quality high dependency care. We also work closely as a POSCU with Addenbrookes as principle treatment centre. We share care for haemoglobinopathy patients with St Mary’s Hospital with joint outreach clinics.

The Hospital has always been renowned for its friendly atmosphere, good working relationships and an enthusiasm for teaching and training. We are a UCL teaching hospital and a foundation trust.

The appointees will join the existing team to support Paediatric Assessment Unit, attending on the ward, out patient clinics in both general paediatrics and neurology/epilepsy or haematology/oncology, and will support the out of hours on call which is resident until 22:00, then non-resident over night. The Hospital serves a local population of approximately 310,000 and has excellent access to Central London by road or rail and to the Midlands and the North via the M1/A1. The town also has an international and domestic airport. The surrounding areas are both urban and rural, the latter including many attractive villages within easy reach of the Hospital. Excellent schools are found nearby.
