Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon (In upper limb with emphasis on upper limb shoulder and hand Trauma)

London North West Healthcare NHS Trust, (incorporating Northwick Park Hospital St. Mark’s Hospital and Central Middlesex Hospital & Ealing Hospital) is a leading UK centre for intestinal diseases.

This is a new post designed to meet the growing demands of the Trauma and Orthopaedic services.

Along with our existing team of 12 Consultants, you will provide support to the current Orthopaedic service in General elective in upper limb and Trauma with emphasis on upper limb shoulder and hand trauma work to our local population of approximately 500,000. There is an active Postgraduate teaching and research programme within the department and with 20 junior and career grade medical staff you will be involved in the teaching programmes.

The Trust are looking for an individual with forward thinking and innovative approach of improving patient pathway and an interest in advancing the principles of clinical governance. You will be involved in the on call rota, evening Trauma lists and fracture clinics and elective work. You will be working cross site as all elective lists are at Central Middlesex Hospital and Trauma is done at Northwick Park Hospital.
