Specialty Doctor within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service based at Glenthorne Road

4 PAs Fixed term contract until March 2019

West London Mental Health NHS Trust is one of the most diverse trusts in the country, providing a full range of mental health, physical healthcare and community services for children, adults and older people living in the London boroughs of Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham and Hounslow, in addition to specialist and forensic mental health services, including high secure services at Broadmoor Hospital.

The trust has an exciting opportunity to appoint a Specialty Doctor within the neurodevelopmental and Learning Disability team in the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service based at Glenthorne Road, Hammersmith and Fulham. It is an exciting time to join the team as they are working closely with CAMHS Commissioners to review and improve the CAMHS offer across West London, in line with Future in Mind recommendations and providing an opportunity to shape future service delivery.

The Hammersmith and Fulham CAMHS Team is part of the ‘Developmental Services’ service line which is a very well managed business unit with high functioning clinical governance structures.

Both services are a tier 2/3 integrated mental health service providing
assessment and treatment from a modern purpose built sites.

The CAMHS service is multidisciplinary with medical, psychology, family
therapy, psychotherapy, nursing and allied health professionals all essential members. Trainees from a variety of disciplines are an integral part and the service is well recognised for providing excellent care and a well-regarded training environment. There is an active in-house academic programme. CAMHS is also a wave 3 IAPT site.

Opportunities will be available to develop your leadership skills, to carry
out teaching and research, and to play a key role in clinical governance.
