Young Epilepsy is the leading national charity working exclusively to improve the lives of children and young people with epilepsy and associated conditions, and is based on a beautiful campus in Lingfield, Surrey, providing world class services.
This role will provide an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience and training in the management of children and young people with complex epilepsy and other neurodisabilities.
Working under the supervision of a Consultant team, you will join our established medical team and provide daytime medical cover and clinical care to students. You will also be responsible for emergency medical care and management of epilepsy and related issues for the students, as well as the care of patients admitted to the assessment and rehabilitation unit. Opportunities for further training and research are available and you will share clinical work with another Specialist Trainee/Clinical Fellow.
An MBBS or equivalent is essential, along with proven paediatric training and competency in routine clinical procedures. You will have an understanding of clinical audit processes, and the ability to work well as part of a team and share and encourage good practice.
