Associate Advisor £85,129 - £95,181 (10 PAs - 6 Academic plus 2 – 4 Clinical PA’s per week)
ScotGEM is an innovative postgraduate entry medical programme, employing a case based approach to learning. It is a 4- year course that has been commissioned by the Scottish Government with a specific remit to widen access to medicine and promote generalist careers in under-served, especially rural areas. The universities of St Andrews and Dundee are leading this development in conjunction with the University of Highlands and Islands, NHS Highland, NHS Dumfries & Galloway, NHS Tayside and NHS Fife. 40 fully funded places are to commence in 2018.
As the Lead Generalist Clinical Mentor, you will introduce the GCM role (15 posts over two years) and ensure quality standards are met and maintained. You will have an enthusiasm for and commitment to community based medical education. You will also have experience of curriculum development and management and leadership skills.
