Consultant Paediatrician with an Interest in Haematology/Oncology
Applications are invited for a full time Consultant Paediatrician post at Watford General Hospital with an interest in haematology/oncology
The post is full-time (10 programmed activities) with a 1:12 - 1:14 on-call rota with split weekends covering General Paediatrics only.
Watford has a busy Paediatric service with a dedicated 24 hour Children’s Emergency Dept, In-patient ward and Day Unit and general and sub-speciality OP clinics.
We have a level 2 POSCU and are looking for a second consultant to support paediatric oncology care and to also help to further develop and support the non-malignant haematology service.
Watford is a vibrant market town with excellent recreational facilities, with easy access to London and at the same time not far away from the beautiful Hertfordshire countryside. Housing standards are high in the county both in town and country, with very good local state and private schools.
Applicants must have full registration with the GMC, Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health or equivalent and applicants should be eligible for specialist registration with the GMC within 6 months of interview date or be included on the Specialist Register. The contract including salary will be under the terms of the new consultant contract.
