Consultant in Hepatobiliary Surgery
Applications are invited for the part time post of Consultant in Hepatobiliary Surgery based within the Division of Surgery, Head & Neck at University Hospitals Bristol.
The post is part time, comprising 8 clinical programmed activities (PA) and 1 supporting professional activities (SPA). The job plan is designed to allow time for additional activities, such as academic research. Funding for additional activity is not provided and must be acquired separately.
We are one of the UK’s leading HPB centres with an international reputation for healthcare research. This post is designed to support the delivery of both the HPB Cancer Network service and also the specialist benign hepatopancreatobiliary surgery service. You will be joining a team of four specialist Hepatobiliary surgeons who have a strong team-based approach to patient care. It is expected that the successful appointee will have a particular interest in cancer surgery and minimally invasive oesophagectomy.
The post-holder will also have responsibilities to develop and contribute to continuing education, professional development, audit and research
within the Division and Trust.
Applicants must be on the GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months of attaining Specialist Registration at the time of interview.
