We are seeking 7 Emergency Medicine Consultants to join a dynamic and busy Emergency Department within a regional health service. You will report to the new Director of Emergency Medicine whilst managing registrars, junior staff and undergraduates in a supervisory and clinical manner.

This brand new state-of-the-art ED sees 45,000 presentations annually and a case mix including major trauma and 20% paediatrics, you will ensure the department runs to the highest of standards and that the clinical care of patients is supported via planning, supervising and arranging appropriate clinical investigations all within a timely manner.

You will become part of a brand new cohesive team of 11.5 Consultants, 12 registrars, 13 juniors and will be supported by a highly trained and committed nursing team. This dynamic group of nurses are regarded as the best in the state. Based in an accredited teaching hospital, this Emergency Department facilitates an active training program with a mixture of provisional and advanced trainees. Along with teaching trainees, junior medical staff and university students you will also find that participation in research is actively encouraged as is involvement in quality improvement activities.

Essential Criteria

You will be an Emergency Medicine Specialist with qualifications registerable with the Medical Board of Australia. Our dedicated regulatory and migration team will arrange your registration and working visas where appropriate.
