Queen Elizabeth Hospital

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Dermatology department at University Hospitals Birmingham

Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham has an international reputation for quality of care, information technology, clinical training and re-search. QEHB provides direct clinical services to nearly 700,000 patients every year, serving a regional, national and international population. It is a regional centre for cancer, trauma, renal transplant, burns and plastics and has the largest solid organ transplantation programme in Europe.

It is one of the most-consistently high performing trusts in the NHS and has been rated "excellent" for both financial management and for quality of clinical and non-clinical services by the Care Quality Commission.

QEHB is host to the Royal Centre for Defence Medicine (RCDM) and is world-renowned for its pioneering surgical techniques in the management of ballistic and blast injuries. QEHB has been designated both a Level 1 trauma centre and host of the UK’s first and only National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Centre for Surgical Reconstruction and Microbiology.

This post is to support the Medical Dermatology, Skin Oncology and Mohs surgical services at QEHB. You will be expected to have a substantial clinical interest that could be developed to contribute a further subspecialty.  The Trust is strongly supportive of educational development and will ensure sessional time is allocated for education, re-search and audit activities.
