The University of Manchester invites applications for a Clinical Senior Lecturer and Honorary Consultant in Rheumatology, based at the University of  Manchester and Pennine MSK Partnership, Oldham, Greater Manchester.

You will have completed clinical training in Rheumatology, and have gained or be near to gaining a certificate of clinical training (CCT) or its equivalent. You must have a higher research degree i.e. PhD/MD, or will soon acquire this, and show high potential as a future international leader in Rheumatology research and clinical practice.  

Your role is to increase the Centre for Musculoskeletal Research and clinical capacity in one of our key strategic areas for investment: eHealth, Clinical Trials, precision Medicine or chronic pain.  You will possess a track record in research with experience of translation to human studies, supporting the University and Trust‘s strategic direction, and an outstanding publication record for your career.

Clinical work will be based at Pennine MSK Partnership, an innovative and award-winning community based service, providing a comprehensive Rheumatology, Orthopaedic, MSK and Chronic Pain Service to the population of Oldham

You will be required to demonstrate evidence of successful grant awards / personal Fellowship funding. The appointee will have research interests complementary to those of the Centre and related to the field of eHealth, Clinical Trials, chronic pain or Precision Medicine. Your clinical experience and interests will equip you to contribute to the rheumatology clinical service, whilst further experience will be gained within post.
