There will be opportunities for the successful applicant to develop their own areas of interest that may include management of patients with Disorders of Consciousness, spasticity management, management of chronic neurological illness etc. The two other consultants in post have special interests in complex spasticity management (Professor Kischka) and neuropsychiatric/behavioural disorders and prosthetics (Dr Henderson Slater). It is expected that the successful applicant will be responsible for the care of up to about 10 inpatients.

The appointment is on a full-time basis. Applications are welcome from physicians trained in Rehabilitation Medicine, or Neurology with substantive interest and experience in Rehabilitation Medicine and those who wish to job share or looking to combine clinical work with a research career or educational interest. Those with academic and subspecialty interests are encouraged to discuss the opportunities that are available.
