Applications are invited to apply for a post as a Consultant Physi-cian/Nephrologist at Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. This is a joint post with the Oxford Kidney Unit. Oxford University Hospitals (OUH) NHS Foundation Trust operate a range of renal services from the Milton Keynes Hospital Site. The appointee will have nephrology duties under the auspices of the Oxford Kidney Unit (5 PA) along with general medicine duties. Three other nephrologists, employed by OUH, have regular commitments on the Milton Keynes Hospital Site.
This is a replacement post. Additional programmed activities may be available upon agreement.
Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, in partnership with the University of Buckingham, is a University Teaching Hospital. This allows us to attract, train and retain the best doctors and contribute towards the financial stability of the organisation. The successful applicant will be expected to participate in teaching of undergraduate students associated with both the University of Buckingham and Oxford University.
Milton Keynes Hospital has an expanding research portfolio. A teaching and research interest would be highly advantageous when applying for this position.
Located just 50 miles north of London, Milton Keynes has excellent access to the capital whilst being centrally located for Oxford and Cambridge and having ease of access to the north. Lying in attractive countryside, Milton Keynes offers first class facilities for sport, theatre, music, shopping and dining.
