One Year Clinical Research Fellowship in early phase clinical research (lymphoma)
Applications are invited for a clinical research fellow in early phase clinical research in lymphoma at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, Manchester.
This post is an exciting opportunity for trainees in medical oncology, haematology or clinical oncology who wish to expand their experience in early phase clinical research and enhance their CV.
The Christie, which serves a population of 3.2 million in North West England has been designated “Outstanding” by the Care Quality Commission and with University of Manchester and Cancer Research UK comprises the Manchester Cancer Research Centre (MCRC).
The appointee will be directly involved in all aspects of the management of patients enrolled onto early phase clinical trial protocols and work closely with Professor John Radford, Dr Kim Linton, other medical staff and an experienced team of research nurses and clinical trial co-ordinators.
The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to work with colleagues in the Experimental Cancer Medicine team, access taught modules of a degree course in experimental cancer medicine and potentially be eligible for the award of MRes at the University of Manchester. The overall experience will be relevant and valuable to physicians wishing to undertake early phase clinical research in any cancer type.
Applicants must have full registration with the GMC and satisfactorily completed basic medical training (or equivalent). Candidates from outside UK must have passed the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) examination to apply for this post.
The salary is payable in line with NHS experience, non-NHS experience may be considered at discretion. The base salary currently ranges between £30,605 - £40,491 per annum (pro rata). Candidates at post-CCT level will be considered up to £48,123 per annum (pro rata) dependent upon experience.
