Consultant Urologist with an interest in non-invasive bladder cancer
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Consultant with the opportunity to commence as soon as possible. The successful applicant will join a Department of six urologists who currently provide urological care and treatment at the Denmark Hill site of King’s College Hospital, with some potential inter-provider work at the Princess Royal site and Guy’s and St. Thomas Hospital proposed. The service incorporates emergency urology (including major trauma), general urology and sub specialist urology (non-invasive bladder cancer).
The successful candidate will play an active role in the general workload of the department and will need to have an interest in the management of non-invasive bladder cancer. In addition, there will be the opportunity to support teaching and training of junior staff. The 10PA post will help in running general and oncological urology clinics, haematuria flexible cystoscopy clinics, minor ops clinics and core urology lists for the department and also includes a commitment to a 1:6 on-call rota.
As this post is required to commence at the earliest opportunity, the post holder is expected to be on the GMC specialist register or in the process of applying for registration.
