Consultant Cancer Geneticist
Applications are invited for a Consultant post in Cancer Genetics.
The post is full time and is based at Great Ormond Street Hospital, with attendance at peripheral clinics required. The successful candidate would join a team of cancer and general consultants with genetic counsellor support. The successful candidate will have experience and a specialist interest in Cancer Genetics.
We are seeking enthusiastic individuals with a passion for genomic medicine to help drive the development of our genetic and genomic medicine services in North London and contribute to our Clinical genetics teams.
The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with Laboratory colleagues to promote genomics, including developing genomic MDTs with specialist clinicians and clinical scientists. The postholder will, in addition, have a clinical commitment and will be expected to take an active role in the on-going programme of audit, clinical governance, teaching and research.
The successful candidate will possess a CCST/CCT in Clinical Genetics (or be within six months of obtaining their CCST/CCT award at the time of application). There is no on call commitment with these posts.
