Clinical Lecturer (Scholarship) (formerly known as Clinical Teaching Fellow)
Applications are invited from individuals, from any clinical discipline, who are fully registered medical practitioners and who have a keen interest in medical education. Applicants are normally in specialty training with an NTN but with permission for one year out of programme. Other applicants may have recently completed specialty training or be waiting to start specialty training. Experience or knowledge of teaching in an NHS setting is essential.
The Clinical Lecturer (Scholarship) scheme aims to professionalise medical education by providing comprehensive educational experience for doctors in training. You will play a key role in the design, development, delivery and assessment of undergraduate teaching in NHS Grampian. You will also provide strategic support to, and have experience in, the University of Aberdeen MBChB curriculum. You will divide your time between clinical work, teaching, and educational research or development.
Funding is available for a period of 1 year. As either an out-of-programme experience or stand-alone experience, this post can equip you in your future career to lead and inspire in medical education.
