East London NHS Foundation Trust is looking to recruit Consultant
Psychiatrists within the Newham Directorate. These are existing posts
within innovative and highly regarded services; these posts offer the
opportunity to work within a thriving service in this vibrant, diverse and
exciting borough.

We seek a Consultant Psychiatrist specialising in the Mental Healthcare
of Older Adults. Our Older Adults service comprises a mixed functional
and organic community mental health team, an innovative memory
clinic which has been shortlisted for the RCPSych Team of the Year
award and inpatient provision for functional mental illness and dementia
assessment. This vacancy has arisen through the retirement of the current
post-holder and former clinical director. The successful applicant will join
an established and vibrant team with a track record of innovation and
continuous improvement; there will be opportunities to steer the ongoing
development of this service and the configuration of this post.

Newham hosts a WHO Collaborating Centre (the only one specifically
for Mental Health Service Development in the world) and the successful
applicant will have opportunities for academic links with the Centre and its
large research group in social psychiatry
