Public Health Consultant
County Hall, Norwich
37 hours per week
This is an exciting opportunity to join the public health department who are seeking to appoint an exceptional individual to the role of Public Health Consultant. Opportunities will also be available for 1 to 2 locum posts up to March 2019.
You will lead a varied portfolio of work utilising the range of public health competencies (see below) including:
• Supporting commissioners
• Intelligence and Analysis
• Health Improvement
• Promoting independence and
• Health protection assurance
You will be a highly visible leader, not only in the council but across the Norfolk system of public services. To be successful in this role you will need to clearly demonstrate a high level of tact, diplomacy and leadership as well as an ability to advise, challenge and advocate to enable effective working across organisational boundaries and influencing without direct authority.
You will be on the GMC Specialist Register/GDC Specialist List/UK Public Health Register (UKPHR) for Public Health Specialists.
Continuity of current contract will be considered for candidates on NHS Hospital consultants /or Agenda for Change Contracts.
