Consultant in Acute Inpatient Adult
Luton Mental Health and Wellbeing Service
We are a financially stable and progressive mental health and
community services trust with very strong clinical leadership at all
levels of the organisation.
The trust has a focus on improving the experience of patients, carers
and our staff. For the last two years we have been developing a
special quality improvement programme that provides our clinical
staff, patients and carers with skills to transform our services. We
believe that our staff are the organisation’s greatest asset and are the
best agents for change.
We were graded as Outstanding by the CQC in September 2016 and
as Provider of the Year 2016, as well as being rated as the best place
to work in mental health by the Health Service. In 2015 we acquired
mental health services in Luton and Bedfordshire.
Consultant in Acute Inpatient Adult - Psychiatry Coral Ward
An exciting opportunity has arisen following the expansion of the
inpatient consultant numbers, to take up a consultant post in ELFT.
This is the last remaining vacant substantive inpatient post, as the
other four have successfully been recruited to within the last two
years. Coral ward has benefitted from extra investment and a
reduction in the beds numbers over the last two years, with further
reductions planned. The investment and improvement have enabled a
better quality of care.
For further information regarding any of these post please contact either Dr Farid Jabbar, Clinical Director for Luton Services, on 01582 709165 or Dr Richard Evans, Deputy Medical Director on 01582 708913
