Consultant Anaesthetist with an interest in chronic Pain Management
Directorate of Anaesthesia
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the expanding and diversifying pain management team at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust.
We are seeking to appoint a Consultant Anaesthetist with an interest in chronic pain management to our countywide directorate.
The successful candidate will join a team of 52 consultants and 7 Speciality Doctors in providing Anaesthetic & Critical Care services at the Alexandra Hospital, Redditch; Worcestershire Royal Hospital, Worcester and the Treatment Centre, Kidderminster.
Sessions and theatre lists covered will be subject to negotiation between the postholder and Clinical Director. These will reflect the postholder’s interests and experience. Ability to perform duties in Chronic Pain Management would be essential for this post.
This post is being advertised at 10PAs, involving approximately 7 clinical sessions per week. The successful applicant may be required to participate in a consultant on call rota, covering theatres and the delivery suite at Worcestershire Royal Hospital or the Alexandra Hospital, Redditch.
Involvement in an on call rota would result in a reduction in the number of clinical sessions worked in-hours per week.
Interested candidates are encouraged to contact Dr Chaudhari, Chronic Pain Consultant Anaesthetist or Steve Randle, Directorate Manager via (01905) 763333.
