Do you want to work flexibly within the NHS, if so we would like to hear from you, part-time and full-time available for the right applicant.
This is an exciting opportunity for four ambitious consultants to take on fulltime leadership roles within our Psychiatry service and to take part in related management and teaching activities.
As a senior clinician, you will have an integral role in the performance of the teams, further development of the service, and the development of the clinical pathways.
You will have experience in the assessment and treatment of patients with a wide range of mental health problems, be knowledgeable about evidence-based treatments, show leadership skills, demonstrate an ability to teach and have supervision skills. An aptitude to work collaboratively and respectfully in a multi-disciplinary team is essential.
You will be part of a service built on clinical excellence. Our community memory service is one of 14% in the UK recognised as “excellent” by the RCPsych’s Memory Services National Accreditation Programme (MSNAP). Our ECT clinic and our home treatment service are each accredited as “excellent” by ECTAS and HTAS respectively.
This rewarding clinical and leadership role is situated in an environment that offers an excellent quality of life. The Isle of Wight, Britain’s own island in the sun, is located off the south coast of England and has a population of 138,000. It has much to offer in the way of outdoor leisure pursuits, family living and is also home to the annual music festival. It is a beautiful place to live and relax after work. Connections to the mainland are frequent, fast and efficient, with a choice of crossings via catamaran, hovercraft, or car ferry, from Southampton or Portsmouth, both of which are 90 minutes by rail from London.
If you enjoy being part of a team, are flexible and approachable and are looking for a stimulating role in psychiatry, we would be delighted to hear from you.
