Locum Consultant Dermatologist with an interest in Paediatrics

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time (8PAs) Consultant
Dermatologist with a special interest in Paediatric Dermatology to join the
Dermatology team at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. The post is based at Royal Free Hospital with sessions at Edgware Community
The successful applicant should have enthusiasm for team working and
delivering services across a number of different sites. The post involves
working alongside experienced consultants with sub-speciality interests,
dermatology specialist nurses, clinical fellows, GPs with extended roles and
clinical assistants. It is expected that the applicant will engage with the
teaching and training of specialist registrars in dermatology and
undergraduate students who rotate through the department.
It is anticipated that this role will be predominantly paediatric dermatology,
including complex and acute patients with sessions in general dermatology.
Applicants will be encouraged to develop a specialist interest to complement
existing expertise and to engage with service development. Candidates may
be expected to carry out pigmented lesion clinics and should have the surgical skills necessary to perform biopsies and excisions with primary closure.
Applicants must be on the GMC Specialist Register for Dermatology or be
within six months of obtaining a Certificate of Completion of Training or
Certificate of Eligibility for Specialty Registration (CESR). Applicants who are
unable to work full time will be considered, there will be a degree of flexibility
and we're willing to consider job sharing.
