Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust is looking to appoint a dynamic, innovative and forward thinking full-time Consultant Dermatologist.
Torbay Hospital is a medium sized, progressive and innovative District General Hospital, situated about two miles from the centre of Torquay, providing acute services to South Devon. Work is currently underway on a new suite of clinic rooms and offices to provide more extensive, dedicated dermatology space. A new dermatology day treatment and phototherapy unit opened in 2014. Additional dermatology services are offered in Newton Abbot Community Hospital.
The successful applicant will join existing Consultants, Dr Rosie Davis and Dr Clement Ng. The team also comprises of a full time Independent Dermatology Practitioner, four part time specialty doctors, six specialist nurses, dedicated HCAs and a GPVTS trainee shared with Rheumatology.

The candidate will need to demonstrate professional excellence and ability to deliver effective care. Applicants should possess or be within six months of attaining a UK CCT or equivalent at the time of the advisory appointments committee.The appointment will be on the basis of the new consultant contract laid down by the Hospital Medical and Dental Staff Terms and Conditions of Service and will be remunerated as appropriate on the salary scale £76,761 - £103,490 per annum.
