Applications are invited for a Consultant in the Emergency Medicine department at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. This post is to join our dynamic team of nine Consultants and 41 Junior EM Doctors in delivering a high quality Emergency Medicine service.

The Emergency Department at Chelsea and Westminster Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is a dynamic, forward thinking, busy department with a strong focus on education, training and research. We currently see approximately 112,000 patients per year with a good case mix of critical care, majors, minor injuries and primary care patients.

We have just completed a 12 million pound redevelopment into a new and modern purpose built department, which will make us one of the biggest Emergency Departments in London.

Applicants must have the ability to offer expert clinical opinion on a range of problems including major trauma management and be able to take full and independent responsibility for the clinical care of patients.

In order to be considered for Consultant posts applicants must be on the GMC Specialist Register or be eligible for entry onto the Register or be within six months of receipt of Certificate of Completion of Training in Emergency Medicine (CCT) at the time of interview.
