Consultant in Paediatric Pathology
Applications from suitably qualified pathologists are invited for this post which has become available. Applicants should ideally have received specialist training or have significant experience in paediatric histopathology however candidates with a general histopathology background and a willingness to undertake paediatric pathology will be welcomed. Appropriate support will be given.
The Histopathology Department at Birmingham Women’s and Children’s Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is CPA-accredited and holds a HTA licence for the post mortem sector. We provide a wide spectrum of specialist diagnostic histopathology services, including paediatric gastroenterology, dermatology, surgery, hepatology, nephrology, transplant services, oncology and neuro-oncology. There is also scope to incorporate perinatal pathology, including Coroner’s work, according to the candidates’ personal preference.
You must be fully registered with the GMC or within 3 months of attaining your CCT or equivalent at interview stage.
Support and benefits to assist with international relocation are available. The Trust will reimburse expenses in the UK for one pre-interview visit for short listed candidates.
