Consultant In Neuro-Rehabilitation
Applications are invited for Consultant posts in Rehabilitation Medicine, with interests in Neurorehabilitation.
At Salford Royal there are 30 dedicated hyper-acute/acute Neurorehabilitation beds and 12 Major Trauma rehabilitation beds. The acute services at Salford Royal are networked with 4 post-acute Neurorehabilitation services and several community Neurorehabilitation services in Greater Manchester.
There are planned developments in the management of patients with long term neurological conditions. Applicants with interests in long term condition management and/or inpatient rehabilitation are invited to apply; the department is flexible to the interests and experience of successful candidates in development of job plans.
Neurorehabilitation is a priority service in Theme 3 of the Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership, which will further in-crease opportunities for service integration and development.
There are 6 Consultants in Rehabilitation Medicine at Salford Royal, and 10 other consultants across the conurbation. The Greater Manchester Neuroscience Centre is one of the leading Neuroscience Centres in the United Kingdom; Neurorehabilitation is fully integrated into Neurosciences and into the Major Trauma Centre at Salford Royal.
To be eligible for consideration candidates must be on the GMC Specialist Register or be a Specialty Trainee within six months of their CCST date at the time of interview.
