Applications are invited for a Consultant in Palliative Medicine. You will undertake the role of Consultant for Community Specialist Palliative Care Services across St Helens and Knowsley. 

You will work closely with Consultant colleagues in the Hospital and Willowbrook Hospice and with commissioner and provider colleagues in the St Helens and Knowsley localities to support and develop end of lifecare services in the Community. 

The role offers an exciting opportunity to join the very well established Specialist Palliative Care Team (SPCT) working towards an integrated service with 6 PA sessions dedicated to direct clinical care and the remaining2 PA sessions as SPA. You will work as Clinical Lead for The Community Specialist Palliative Care Team based at Willowbrook Hospice, supporting Clinical Nurse Specialists and the wider community of health and care professionals working in the primary care setting.

You will be expected to have extensive Palliative Medicine knowledge and experience as described in the Job Description. 

Applicants must have full GMC Registration and must be on the Specialist Registrar or within six months of their CTT from the date of the interview. This post is subject to DBS enhanced disclosure including both Adults & Children’s barred lists.
