Consultant Geriatrician in Acute Frailty Services
We are looking for two Consultants to join the Department of Ageing and Health at the Royal Surrey County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
This is an exciting time for the Department and Trust as we look to develop our Acute Frailty Services across the whole system in conjunction with Acute Frailty Network. We are looking to dramatically expand the Department by appointing two colleagues to the Older Peoples’ Unit (OPU)
These two posts are based in our successful Older Peoples’ Unit (OPU). The OPU was formed by co- locating two acute geriatric medicine wards and is in the process of significant change as we develop it as a specialist unit for delivery of comprehensive geriatric assessment. In addition
to OPU responsibilities, remaining duties are likely to be part of an evolving acute frailty system, including specialist liaison work, ambulatory services an Acute Frailty Unit and a split Geriatric Medicine on-call.
The successful candidates will have CCT or equivalent and be on the Specialist Register for Geriatric medicine when they take up the post (applications are welcome from those within six months of their CCT date).
Enquires about the posts are very welcome – please contact Dr James Adams, Clinical Director for Frailty Services or Dr Helen Wilson on 01483 571122 ext 4105.
