Be part of something special

In the heart of Yorkshire

1x Full Time Post

Every one of our 8000 staff at the Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust plays a vital role in providing quality care to thousands of people living across Wakefield and North Kirklees each yer

We’re proud to say that our hard working, talented and dynamic workforce is our greatest asset. If you are a dynamic, innovative forward thinking clinician who would like to make a significant contribution to the Trust then you could become part of the team.

We can offer a supportive working environment - in first class facilities - where excellence and innovation is valued and celebrated; by providing excellent training and development opportunities, and by offering a comprehensive package of staff benefits. The Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust is a large multi-site Trust and we are completing the final stages of our ambitious programme to reconfigure services in line with leading national and international care delivery models.

If this sounds like something that you would like to be part of then the following role may be perfect for you.

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Elderly Care Consultant to join our friendly and enthusiastic team. The successful candidate will join other substantive consultants in providing the highest quality care possible for older patients across our three hospital sites and the respective communities of Wakefield and North Kirklees.

You will be joining a very proactive team at a time of great opportunity as the Trust develops new and innovative models of care for older people. This includes dedicated elderly on-call and the development of frailty units across both sites as well as increased integrated working with our community stakeholders. Different sub-specialty interests will be accommodated wherever possible.

Informal discussions are welcomed in the first instance via Dr Frank Phelan on 07771 346730.
