10 PAs/37.5 hours per week – hours are subject to terms and conditions appointed to.

We are now seeking to appoint a self-motivated and innovative individual to the role of Lead Screening and Immunisation Consultant/Consultant Healthcare Public Health for Public Health England South West.

This post is suitable for both Consultant Medical and Non-Medical Agenda for Change band 9 appointment.

The Lead Consultant in Screening and Immunisation (S&I)/ Consultant in Health Care Public Health is a senior role with the PHE South West Centre supporting the Centre Director and Deputy Centre Director in the strategic leadership, management and oversight of the S&I and health care public health function.

The Lead SIL provides the PHE South West Centre and NHSE with the system leadership at senior consultant level and the capacity to deliver key responsibilities in a resilient way across the whole of the South West. The post holder will play a strategic role in developing, shaping and assuring sustainable pathways and improved outcomes including reducing inequalities and will have responsibility for developing and maintaining of key relationships with stakeholders internally and externally with partner organisations. In addition they will contribute and lead on centre and national priorities, including contribution to wider public health initiatives consistent with the centre delivery model and integrated working.

Frequent travel within the geographical area and nationally will
be a requirement of the role.
