We are very pleased to advertise an opportunity for a Consultant in Vascular Surgery. This is a whole time post based in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary in the North East of Scotland.

The successful applicant will have Endovascular expertise in order to work with two other Consultant Vascular Surgeons to utilise four newly created sessions in the Interventional Radiology Suite, following significant investment by NHS Grampian in the Vascular Service.

It is expected that the appointee will undertake Peripheral Angiography, Angioplasty and Stenting and will contribute to the existing EVAR, FEVAR,
BEVAR & TEVAR programmes.

The Vascular Surgery team at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary comprises of
5 Consultant Vascular Surgeons, 2 Interventional Radiologists, 3 Vascular Technologists and a dedicated Specialist Vascular Nurse. The department is supported by appropriate grades of Junior staff and has an established track record in education, training and research.

A networked Vascular MDT held jointly with the Vascular Service in Raigmore Hospital in Inverness will be commencing in the next 2 months.

Full registration with a licence to practise with the GMC is required.

Those trained in the UK should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from date of interview or eligibility for specialist registration (CESR).
