Consultant Physician with Specialty Interest and General Medicine
Infectious Diseases, Diabetes, Respiratory Medicine, Stroke Medicine, Critical Care.
Applications are invited for the above position in one of Scotland’s major teaching hospitals.
This post aims to enhance and develop the close relationship between the acute and general medical teams with major medical specialties as part of a major redesign of the Medicine Directorate within NHS Tayside. Candidates with Speciality training in Infectious Diseases, Diabetes, Respiratory Medicine, Stroke Medicine or Critical Care would be particularly welcome, however we would pleased to consider applicants from other medical specialities.
The successful applicant will be based with their speciality interest however will contribute to general or acute medicine including evening and weekend working as well as overnight on-call. In addition, the successful applicant will be expected to take part in postgraduate training and education along with opportunities to collaborate in research, and quality improvement.
Candidates should possess MRCP and be on the GMC Specialist Register in General Internal Medicine and or relevant Specialty Interest or be within 6 months of the anticipated award of CCT or CESR (CP) at the time of interview for the post.
