Consultant Paediatrician with an Interest in Paediatric Palliative Medicine

Birmingham Children’s Hospital (BCH) and Birmingham Community Health Care Foundation Trust (BCHCFT), in collaboration with Molly Olly’s Wishes, is seeking to appoint a Consultant Paediatrician with an Interest in Paediatric Palliative Medicine.
This new post will work equally between BCH and BCHCFT and will be solely dedicated to the provision of palliative and end-of-life care. The successful appointee must be able to demonstrate a track record in the field of paediatric palliative medicine and demonstrate evidence of medical leadership and service development at a senior level.
At BCH, the appointee will be join a newly established nursing team and will further develop the PPM service within the organisation at a tertiary and secondary level. At BCHCT, the appointee will provide medical support and leadership to the existing Children’s Community Nursing (CCN) team dedicated to Paediatric Palliative Care provision.
Interested candidates will have GMC registration and be on the specialist register or within 6 months of attainment of CCT.
