Applications are invited for the post of Consultant Allergist at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

We are seeking enthusiastic individuals who would like to join our clinical team.

You will join an outstanding Allergy Department in a tertiary referral hospital.

We are one of the major allergy departments in the UK, recognized as a Centre of Excellence and provide Allergy care for the local population, East of England and beyond. We provide services in all aspects of allergy for both adults and children.

Areas of specialist expertise include Food Allergy, Drug Allergy, Ana-phylaxis, Venom Allergy, Immunotherapy and Anti-IgE Therapy.

Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust’s Allergy de-partment is the only centre in the UK offering peanut immunotherapy for children.

The department has a strong research record, holding major grants, training clinical fellows and PhD students.

We are committed to high standards of care, furthering the specialist services we offer, as well as ensuring that clinical research and high quality training prospers. 

Candidates will be on the Specialist Register for Allergy (or be within six months of such certification).

The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC’s Good Medical Practice (2013).

Cambridge University Health Partners, the academic health sciences centre, in conjunction with the Institute of Continuing Education at The University of Cambridge are pleased to offer a one year Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Medicine to all Clinicians employed in Cambridge.
