This post represents an exciting opportunity to join a team of academic GPs in the highly rated School of Medicine.

You will work with the existing Medical Education/Academic General Practice Team which contributes to many aspects of education in the School of Medicine. Your main responsibilities will encompass teaching, assessment, student selection, pastoral care and curriculum development for the MBChB course. You will work closely with teaching practices and be the liaison lecturer for a locality, responsible for maintaining strong working relationships with existing teaching practices, staff development for community tutors and for recruitment of new teaching practices.

You will possess a medical Degree (or equivalent), be fully registered with the General Medical Council and have a licence to practise, with MRCGP. You will have evidence of undergraduate or postgraduate teaching, good IT skills and the ability to engage the interest and enthusiasm of students. Effective team working, communication, interpersonal and organisational skills are essential.
