South West Acute Hospital, Enniskillen

The Trust has completed a major equipment replacement programme and operates a fully integrated province wide RIS/PACS with integrated Voice Recognition and Vitrea software. Home links for on call are available.

The Trust provides a full range of services on its acute sites A Radiotherapy Unit on the Altnagelvin site is opened in November 2016.

The South West Acute Hospital is located on the outskirts of Enniskillen, the county town of Fermanagh. Enniskillen is situated on the shores of Lough Erne and boasts excellent schools, restaurants and is a lively hub of activities and events throughout the year.

The South West Acute Hospital opened in June 2012 and is an innovatively designed 300 bedded hospital with all inpatient accommodation in single rooms and full supporting services.

The Radiology department has one MRI scanner, one CT scanner, Direct Digital Radiography, Ultrasound, fluoroscopy and DEXA.

Radiology cover is also provided on a rotational basis in a non-acute setting in the Omagh Hospital and Primary Care Complex which opened in June 2017.

This centre provides CT, Ultrasound and digital radiography services.
